It is the locking lever for trailer hitch.
Haven't painted the hitch yet, so it's still missing

A close-up photo when it's finished would be great!

Sorry for hijacking a topic, but that vertical exhaust that goes outside seems just what I need, is that using a non standard exhaust?

Exhaust manifold and muffler are both original. The pipe between I made from standard 2" thick wall steel pipe and 2pcs 90 deg curves

Yes. And it seems to get worse. Now I am looking for a Super Dexta project, but it is very hard to find

Yes, You are right. I haven't thought about that before
Those rims come out from a scrap Ford 3000 from Sweden

Now only wiring harness and fender lights are missing
My friend made those stickers to the engine covers. I had to buy this without any test run, but luckily the hydraulics and transmission works perfectly

I need to find an old 1 1/2 ton truck to do that with. Great idea and thanks for posting the photos. It surprises me that you have the oil capacity to operate that large of a cylinder.
You have less snow than we do. That's unusual.

Yes this kind of old trucks "abuse" is very common here
And there is no problems with oil capacity
Only thing with that trailer is to move the axel backwards as much as possible. Otherwise it may flip over when you use the cylinder. How do You call that mechanism btw?
I live in southern Finland, so almost all the snow is gone. Northern Finland still has snow up to 60 centimeters

Around here it is known as a hydraulic hoist or hydraulic dump. Either way they sure beat a shovel.

Was your dexta original a downswept? Since the way you have put your exhaust and no hole in the bonnet?

I think most of the Dextas imported to Finland was equipped with downswept exhaust. But also most of them have been modofied to upswept

Nice work on the forks. I envy you being able to go out and cut wood. I used to really enjoy that in the fall. It's also good to see you putting your tractor to work and using it for what it was intended for. Half the fun of owning one of these tractors is getting it dirty.

Indeed!
I really enjoy using these old great machines to work too. In Finland we also call these old machines as a "therapy tractors"
