Fuel injection parts

Post by Holdenfarm »

I am doing the head gasket on my Fordson Major and I broke the #1 cylinder fuel line and the brass piece that goes through the injection rubber and couples the line to the injector. I cannot find the brass piece anywhere. Does anyone have a part number or source for these pieces? Do they come with new injectors? I don't want to buy a whole new injector for this little piece. I can find new lines and pretty much everything else.

If I’m understanding you correctly you need the nipple that attaches the injector line to the injector, I think these are actually steel but they probably use a copper washer on them. I’m thinking your best bet is a scrap yard or E-bay, you may have to buy an entire injector but they can sometimes be picked up at a reasonable cost for used ones.

Thanks, I have found a used injector. But the guy wants to know what year of fordson it is. I am getting the #1 fuel line as well, and supposedly there are different lines for different years. I cannot find the serial number to determine the year. I cannot find any other way or even a referance to what other differences may make my job easier.

Three possible locations. One, the early ones had it stamped in the bell housing to the rear of where the starter bolts in. The next series had it on a plate near the top of the fire wall on the engine side, The last had it stamped on the block near #1 injector. Dandy Dave!
