Hello,
My major appears to have had a replacement engine at some point, it has R8872 stamped under the 1st injector. This doesn't seem to run with any numbers i can find on the internet could anyone shed some light on this please? The plate on the tractor reads 1411879 which i believe is late mark 1.
Here are a few codes i could get at today some were hard to make out;
sump - D5H is that 1962 April 5th?
engine - 4M0 and E1ADDN 6015 G
pump - SPE4A70S380
head - E1ADDN 6050 S
Any help would be great thanks

Re: Major Engine number
The SPE number for the pump is right for a late Fordson Diesel Major with a MK 1 engine.
Are the manifold studs staggered or in a line ?

Re: Major Engine number
Thanks for the speedy reply, sounds like its had the block replaced then? I'll have to check the manifold studs in the week as the tractor is up at a friends farm.
Re: Major Engine number
Serial Number is December 1956, sump is, as you say, 1962 and the block code is 1964.
