E27N bellhousing bolt hole position drawing for a conversion

Post by Lister Boy »

Hi,
Looking at an E27n engine conversion project - does anyone have the bolt hole position information / drawing for the rear of engine to front of gearbox?. I know it is close to an SAE2 specification but it is different.

Hi Mike,

I have done many drawings for E27N back end gaskets, but not for the engine flange. It is too wide for my laser cutter to cut out, so I have no way of checking the dimensions of the drawing.

If you can, start with careful measurements of the bolt hole positions assuming a circular pattern and work from there. From observation all the holes are on a single radius, but not evenly spaced. Nailing down the radius is the key, any means of checking that will allow you to draw the hole positions using simple edge to edge measurements of the flange holes.

If you want any other back end gasket drawings, I am happy to give them to you. Best format is DXF for me, just let me know which one you need.

Regards, Frank.
