We're new posters to the BB but have been reading, absorbing and putting in to practice the wealth of info on these pages. Thanks for all the effort in setting up and running this website.
My father an I are doing a partial rebuild of our old 1962 SD. Its been used on our farm for 35 years. We are getting her back to working contition (not concourse stds).
Has anyone used agriline's paint & thinners, is it up to the job? And what sort of thinners to paint ratio should we use for spraying and brushing? Even at £10 for 1L its expensive "for just some paint". Any ideas how much we may use for the whole tractor?

Thanks for all your nice comments about our website. Richard my son deals with all the website stuff, and also does most of the research and posting on here.
We're pretty pleased with the Agriline paints. When we collected the paint from Agriline in Bromsgrove (only 30 min journey) they had a TE20 in the shop which had been pained with their paint - not a bad looking job at all. The guy there said to start off with 15% thinners and go from there. The finish is pretty good and seems to be ok chipping wise, but it is after all a working tractor and any paint coat was better than rust. However it does spay on beautifully.
Yesterday we finally got the hydraulics tested, flipping brilliant job, except we lost a couple of pints of oil when we left the external services valve open without the closed service pipe on - ooops!

I have a Major sitting on stands for a week and Agriline paint is still soft & sticky. Color is nowhere close. What a mess.

Enamel paint does take some time to cure, especially if only a small ratio of thinners is used.
It was like that when I found it.... & I wish I had left it alone!
