I have questions regarding the two different type seals listed in the parts book for this tractor. The book quotes E1DKN-7279-A as double lip seal and E1DKN-7279B as a pair of single lip seals supplied in pairs. My tractor had the pair of single
lip seals installed which were leaking oil from the transmission into the rear axle. Has any one had experiences with either of these types of seals and which are the prefered type to use. Are both types still available from New Holland?

Re: Fordon New Major PTO seals
Welcome Perryn,
There is not much difference between the two. I think the double lip seal is original. I think both are still available.
You will have to use some tool to fit the double lip seal in.
Something like this.

Or the special Fordson tool.
Haven't done the job myself yet but I will have to do it in a few years from now because it's leaking.
