I thought of starting this post yesterday evening when I went to get my car MOT'd. While waiting in the queue I heard that familiar, unmistakable sound. When I got out of the car and looked around the back of the car park, at the other side of the fence was a blue and white super dexta - with linkbox, drawing stones to fill in a drain.
Anyway made me smile, good to see the old girl working, and by the way my car passed!
On a great big billboard advertising a rural bank on the main street of Levin in the North Island, even the kids recognised it, it was probably larger than a real one!
I guess advertisers see old tractors as the farmer's equivalent of your old fluffy toy!

you know it's a classic when people stop to watch.

Went to an evening air show at Old Warden on Saturday. They've got a nice Super Dexta they use to pull the planes about. Its been adapted a bit and has no hydraulics, underslung exhaust and a nice bench seat. It looked good pulling the tiger moths, hurricane, etc... Didnt take me camera with me but theres a few pics of it getting in the way of peoples plane pictures on the internet.
