Fordson aircraft puller ????

This one is for sale here in holland, has anyone seen somethin like this before, its with an automatic gearbox.

That must be the longest website address I've ever seen.

What was that first tractor(if you can call it that)
The Super Major must have been the fore-runner to the "County Aircraft Tugs".
It would be interesting to find out more about the automatic transmission/torque converter,
considering the Super Major was around 1962-63, unless it was a later addition to the tractor.
It did'nt look too bad. What was the aircraft that it was towing.
Always good to see photos like these, of what Fordson's were used for the world over.

Put a cab on it and you would have a nice road tractor. Don't know how fast it will run, but would love to try.

It would be interesting to know which torque convertor was fitted.
If it a Brockhouse similar to some of the Major based loading shovels it might be difficult to fix and very power sapping.

That's a really good-looking tug. My truck and trailer won't float, so there's no chance that it will end up at my house

I hope it goes to a good home.
Didn't Roadless make a torque convertor for a Super Major, or was that for a later Ford?

A company in England called Douglas specialised in this type of conversion on David Brown skid units.
