Super Major L/H Brake Actuator Boss Removal

Post by dave91 »

Hi everyone,

Probably a very silly question but my 1961 Supers brakes dont release when the pedals are released. I have disassembled the R/H side and clean it all up, some of the linkage clevis pins were seized ect. Reassembled and adjusted all ok. Now I am doing the L/H side, all the clevis pins are seized and the clutch pedal needs a new bush. How do I remove the brake acutating boss (sits between the clutch pedal) to release the clutch pedal?
It looks like there is a pin in the centre of my brake boss, but I suspect it is a bolt with the head sheared off, am I correct?

Thanks.
Regards,
dave91

It is a pin which you will have to drive out with a hammer and punch

Slotted roll pin. Can be a b*gger to get out due to rust.
