P.U.H draw bar ?!

Just wondering if anyone on here knows what this is ?! [img]Http://I1290?photobucket.com -( I gather that link may not work as ive never done this before !) but this is a draw bar thing on the back of a n/p super major next to mine - I've never seen one on any othe majors and only ever seen a dexta one on eBay ! So I'm guessing it's quite rare - and it's part of a complete automatic p.u.h system ! Making it even rarer ! hopefully someone can translate the photobucket code !

You almost had it. Part of the code is missing and so is one img tag. On Photobucket, you need to click on the box next to IMG code at bottom right of the page, then paste that into your post.
At the top of the announcements is a post about how to post pictures. That may explain it better.

ha though I was close - yeh I was following the instructions - and that's all I had in the box ! so the code you see is the code I got ! I don't know - I'm not a computer person !

I think these adapters were made by Lawrence Edwards to allow standard drawbar trailers to be used. They are pretty uncommon, as are the pick-up hitches themselves, particularly the later type (which yours appears to be from what I can see). Yours adapter looks to have been modified slightly. I have one but the attaching method is slightly different, maybe an earlier/later design. I don't think they are a genuine Ford part but they are useful to have!

Thanks- I've heard the name Lawrence Edwards before but can't find out anything about there "business" or these drawbar plates - yeh it's the auto pick up hitch later version - its not an original ford part as I can gather but has been with the tractor since 1965 ! So where their they were "after market options" I don't know - but seem to be an easy thing to make if you have a general engineering understanding !
