Power harrow
Tried the Major out with a three metre power harrow. The land is heavy. As you can see, the Major does a pretty good job. Makes the engine growl a little, but well within the tractor's capabilities. I was really surprised that the old girl would be able to manage such a heavy and power-hungry attachment.

Front shot. Don't ask where the missing grill is. Some idiot ploughed it in last autumn!
Wonder who that was?!

Re: Power harrow
so wheres the video then you must of made one when you were tickling the top again as you had no dirt in front of the harrow couldn't of been in very deep, it don't look like it even moved the clumps of grass and that chimney looks crap on that tractor!
Re: Power harrow
Fair crack of the whip, mate.
So the muffler looks crap -- but at least he using the Major and he's not being deafened.
Not only is the harrow operating at about 3 - 4 ins. deep, much lower and the bearing/bushing would be in the ground -- not good. In any case, a power harrow is used to break-up only the surface of a paddock and level it; and it appears to have done that well.

Re: Power harrow
looking at the photo there is no working board on the p.harrow so your not going to get much build up in the front anyway!
think we may have a "major" troller here

Field is now seeded with grass and rolled. Just needs a drop of rain.
I'm not a farmer and have never used a power harrow before, so you're not looking at an expert's work!
But I have been working under the supervision of my farmer friend, who certainly does know his stuff.
majormajor is a friend of mine and I think he's pulling my leg!
Thanks for your kind comments Pavel and Stig.
