Con Rod nut and bolt assembly

Post by Lilly B »

When rebuilding my 1954 Major (with lots of new shiny overhaul parts :) ) I found a split nut on one of the con rods :( - that holds the cap on. I am scouring the internet for such a thing and can only find one for a Dexta - is it the same? or does anyone know where I can find one - No doubt there are a few lying in the bottom of tool boxes out there but I need it in the Caribbean asap. I understand they are pretty specific, this one is a locking nut - the locking part being a squishable metal ring on the top of the nut. With thanks

Thanks Kenneth, tried Agriline - no joy but they put me onto Ron Greet in Totnes which was a success! Thanks
