I know I saw it somewhere before but can't seem to find it now. What is the hydraulic flow for the Super Dexta?
One additional question, does the flow change as load increases? I'm considering a 3pt backhoe attachment that requires 3.2 gpm at 2000lb load.
Will my Super Dexta handle that?

I really didn't think it was enough
However,
You say you need only 3 GPM...
Fordson Dexta ( Ford Dexter) tractors were manufactured from 1957 to 1964. ... Hydraulic outlet flow: 4.42gpm. Weight: 3100lbs (1406kg). Electrics: 12Volts ...

PS: I search the Fordson site and could not find this info. I remember reading in my Dexta shop manual, and this figure is quoted there, or a near figure. I didn't think any of my Dexta's had enough flow even for my hydraulic dump trailer, but... GPM figure says it will.

back hoe
hi
i run a back hoe on my 60 & 62 dextas - works fine had to cobble together a retun pipe to the back axle thats all. powerful enough to pull the whole tractor around and ok in terms of response

Backhoe on Dexta
Mike,
Do you have a front loader or blade?
Or do you just go up on rear backhoe support and front wheels on ground?
I have an extra Dexta that I could make a permanent light duty Backhoe, but have been thru the loader on Dexta and no Power Steering and had rather not do it again.

Hi
I gernerally use it on my 62 Dexta without a loader as it has a diff lock which helps when things get a bit slidy , i do have front wheel weights and could do with more wieight as it get very light on some slopes. Have to be careful where you leave the main arm when finished/ moving to make sure its as balanced as possible. Or steer on brakes.
I would not want to do a huge amount with it but it means i don't mind gardening so much any more.!!! Even the boss has taken
Don't know what make it is/was it had its own oil tank so possibly had its own pump originally. I have fitted check chains as i found it bent modern stabiliser bars. Generally i find it manoeverable and very handy.
Jason have a look at Fordson dexta the facts which is on here i think it says 3.68 galls/ min for a dexta at 1550 rpm - don't know if its different for a super
