On UK TV - Oz & James drink to Britain: Dexta's cameo

Post by Chris Ivin »

Watching "Oz & James drink to Britain" this evening I noticed a smart Dexta making a cameo appearance on the episode set in the Republic of Ireland.

Does anyone recognise the owner(or passenger), are they a member of the forum? It was going at quite a lick!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Episode_4/ The clip is at 23 minutes 30 secs.

It's the only part of the programme worth watching! The rear wheel looks a bit wobbly. And two up as you say!
All the best,
Ben

Hi Mervyn,

We have a watch again facility on the BBC, if you follow the link on my original post you will be able to see it. Just drag the progress bar along to 23 min 30 secs if you don't want to watch the whole program.

Hi Chris

Thanks for getting back to me. I do not see a progress bar present at all, only the play and pause buttons which are not active.

To Chris and Mervyn,

The link is only operative if you are connecting in the UK. The following message appears on the screen of the video player.
Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?

If you are in the UK and see this message please read this advice.

Go to Radio channels home page.
Some of those words are Hypertext Links for help /advice.

Hello Rick

Thank you for highlighting that quote, I'd basically accepted that I would not be able to view the clip. Hopefully someone may put that clip on youtube so more of us can view it. I'll just relax and wait and see what happens. 8)

Until next time cheers!
Mervyn

I'm sorry to hear that the clip is only available to the UK. I thought that the internet had equal access across the world apart from a few places like China. I guess there must be some copyright issues, but I do not know how the the website knows where you are accessing it from? IT isn't my strength!

They likely look at your IP address when you access the site..these tend to get assigned out in big blocks to various service providers and that registration data is kept on public servers.

(try going to google and type 'whois' in the query box)

I too wish the bbc tv web programs were available outside merry old england....the reason for blocking this may in part be that some of these programs are re-broadcast over the air at much later dates in other countries...(it would be hard to sell 'Dr Who' to the scifi channel if we could all watch it on the internet.)

Annonymous by name, yes. Haven't you ever noticed that the adds that come up are usually relating to your locality? Even the Girls from your town / area want to date you? :)
