Tiffany badge

Post by henk »

Hello,

Last summer I was visiting a fair at a nearby village. There was this guy that made all sorts of images with collared glass. Something like glass in lead, but then with copper. It’s called “Tiffany”. I asked him if he could make something like the wheat sheaf badge. He wanted a picture, so I gave him a copy of the badge and he made a drawing of it. Last week it was finished. Only the words are not painted yet. Still looking for a painter. The size is about an A4 paper.
It was a hard job he sad, because he had to make construction lines in it, and the parts can’t be to small. Especially the hand was very difficult. Although the part were the words are written is not the right size, I think is a beautiful result. Because it’s hand made it’s something unique.
If anyone would want one, I can order one. Only thing is, sending it through snake mail is very risky.

Kind regards, Henk

That's really nice, Henk. Its too nice to hang in your shop, so I guess you will have to put it in the house. I took a class on how to make things like that, but its been 25-30 years ago and I don't remember how to do it now.
