A while ago I bought a raised pto which I want to fit on the super 4. I tought it might be a good idea to check the seals and bearings before installing it. I did make some pictures while taking it apart
The bearings all seam fine. I cleaned out most of the muck in the box and removed the old seal. The size of the seal is the same as a the one for the standard pto.
If someone needs more info or pictures, just let me know. I haven't put it back together yet.
Didn't find a wide seal, but I guess this will do.

normally it's not the 1:1. but I will count the theeth to be sure.
I will install in on my Super 4, which is based on a 1963 super major (not new performance)

The 1:1 are really hard to find, as they only fit the new performance super majors.

Presumably that gives 540 at 1600 engine speed.
Yes, that should be correct. If you look at the tachometer, you will see the standard pto is at 1200 rpm and the raised pto is at 1600
A little lesson maths: 1200 x 24/18 = 1600...

The nut has to be removed, but this bolt holds a spring and detent ball and should not be removed!
Did work well on the Vicon spreader, easy to attach the implement when you have the hydraulics active, and the pto disgaged!
I need to find the knob I ordered a while ago to finish this small project.
