this feels a long shot but here goes.i have bought a bmb plough mate with a briggs and stratton engine to restore,and im wondering how does the throttle attach to the engine as there isnt one on it at the moment.

James,Now that is an interesting one. BMB Ploughmate's did not have B and S engines from new, they had a socking great JAP 8hp and were "man killers". I have one right outside my back door! In reverse, it will pick you off your feet with your arms over your head, and I am not a small person! I would suspect that the throttle wire pokes through a hole in a flat plate on top of the carb. but until we know what engine you have in the B and S range, we can not help further. ------------------

the engine i have in is a 6 HP briggs and stratton zz, i have the owners handbook and parts lists for both the engine and the plowmate but it doesn't show me what i need.

i have now rigged up a throttle, I am know on the look out for a tool carrier as i had a set of discs, and cultivators with the tractor but no carrier if anyone has one they wish to sell i will be very interested. contact me at bugler3athotmaildotcom.cheers
