this feels a long shot but here goes.i have bought a bmb plough mate with a briggs and stratton engine to restore,and im wondering how does the throttle attach to the engine as there isnt one on it at the moment. cheers jamesIP: Logged |

James,Now that is an interesting one. BMB Ploughmate's did not have B and S engines from new, they had a socking great JAP 8hp and were "man killers". I have one right outside my back door! In reverse, it will pick you off your feet with your arms over your head, and I am not a small person! I would suspect that the throttle wire pokes through a hole in a flat plate on top of the carb. but until we know what engine you have in the B and S range, we can not help further. ------------------ Kind regards Brian IP: Logged |

the engine i have in is a 6 HP briggs and stratton zz, i have the owners handbook and parts lists for both the engine and the plowmate but it doesn't show me what i need. cheers jamesIP: Logged |

i have now rigged up a throttle, I am know on the look out for a tool carrier as i had a set of discs, and cultivators with the tractor but no carrier if anyone has one they wish to sell i will be very interested. contact me at bugler3athotmaildotcom.cheers james IP: Logged |
