G'day TristanI'm really surprised there hasn't been a whole tribe of people getting on here saying they'd love to see more pictures. I know I do. The best part of any story are the pictures as far as I'm concerned. They are the true story (including the background). Post heaps mate. Kind Regards........Dom IP: Logged |

Tristan,Yes please post photos of your P6 restoration, I am restoring one as well, so it is interesting to see how you are doing, and get ideas for my own project. Regards, TK

Hi Tristan,I have been told that you can replace the P6 conrods with P3.144 conrods. They are not exactly the same as the P6 TA rods but they do interchange and you get the bonus of cheap conrod bearings. I would also put alloy pistons out of the P3.144 as well, you will be able to up the maximum RPM if you do and get some extra horse power if you need it. Other parts like valves also interchange. I almost changed the rods in my P6 because I couldn't find big end bearings, but I got lucky and found a set and didn't have to change the rods in the end. Good luck with the rebuild and post some pictures soon. Regards Frank. IP: Logged |
