Steven,What a beauty. The picture from the front could be one out of a sales brochure. Could you please show a picture from the check chain bracket. This looks like an unknown model to me. A big thump up for you, Henk

Thanks guys. I live in Gisborne, Victoria. About 55km from Melbourne CBD. Its in the Macedon Ranges. To answer questions. Yes the check chain bracket is the standard FSM type but the check chains are new. They are not exactly as original. Parts are easy to find here in Australia. Sparex import everything as do Bare Co. Main source of new parts was Melbourne Tractors, the New Holland dealer in Campbellfield. A lot of thanks has to go to West's Tractor Wreckers in Albury. They sourced lots of hard to get items. The tractor is pretty unique here and is not as delivered. I wanted an English Super. My tractor originally had the headlights outside the grill and it had the huge Aussie cast wheel centres front and rear. I had the UK wheel equipment sent from the England. The only thing missing is the hand brake. That was impossible to get here as they where never fitted. Special thanks to Brian who spent many hours on the phone and took me to see two great collection when I was in the UK, this gave me a lot of encouragement. I will post some before pics and pics of the rebuild in another thread. A quick run down from front to rear is: New grills and lights. Rebuild front axle bushes and replace king pins etc. Remove broken studs from front cross member and helicoil. New Radiator Rebuild engine with all new parts. New Valves and springs in the head. Rebuild the injector pump and injectors. New hoses etc. Rebuilt the twin plate clutch. New brake shoes. Guages repaired by Richfiled in the UK. New cross shaft in the hydraulic cover. Replaced the idler shaft and gear in the raised PTO. Replaced the lift arms. Loads more, my brain is to fuzzy to recall at the moment. The tractor was stripped to its major parts and all gaskets replaced. Steve [This message has been edited by Steven B (edited March 18, 2007).] IP: Logged |

And the next project, is if I don't have enough projects. This little honey is to get the same treatment as the Super Major. Including UK headlights. The engine is now in poor repair after someone (not me) ran it out of diesel and then used the dreaded ether tho get her going.
