Hi everybody,
I am new to this forum , but from reading some of the posts I think somebody here could help me.
I am nearly finished rebuilding the engine of my 1962 Dexta (new valves, liners , pistons, etc..) and after the first test she doesn't seem to want to rev to max rev's anymore.
I have checked timing again and everything I could think of.
After letting her run again, I unscrewed the vacuum pipe a little bit and this had a positive effect on the rev's.
It looks as if there is to much vacuum and that's why I can't get max. fuel on the pump.
Am I overlooking something here?
Thanks
All help would be appreciated
Dexta won't rev
Restriction in the air cleaner, perhaps? See http://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/ubb/F ... 00654.html
All the best,
Ben

Air cleaner was cleaned out before the rebuild, but i will try it without the air-cleaner on and see if that makes the difference.
Also did I check the spring in the governor, and that didn't meet the needed lenght as stated in the repair manual.
New problem arised as I wanted to move her and go for a test run,
I couldn't get her into gear. It seems as if the clutch isn't working, but pressure-group seemed ok and I've fitted a new disk.
It looks like she is coming apart again to see what the problem is now.
Regards,
Wim
