Water in the fuel or getting into the cylinders will also give white smoke, being that you have find water in the pump I would have that serviced first, then run it again.

Does anyone have some dimensions for the grass stick for a B23 mower. I've had a new board made using the old one as a pattern but there's no stick to work from. The manual shows it but doesnt give any sizes. Do i really need the grass stick for hay? It works fine without for topping nettles/thistl...

thank you ian i did find a post from Brian using kerosene(not diesel bad for O rings) and oil mix (maybe paraffin will work as well) then driving round for around 3/4 of an hour then drain out and replace with new oil .(i am not taking the axle apart) if i can find the post i will re post it regard...

Also check the lift pump best way to do that is to take it off, make sure the the cam is not damage, I have seen that in the past.

You will have some play (backlash) if you are unhappy just replace it. just make sure you don't move the shaft (pump) a photo of the pump would help, if you want me to post it up for you, send me a message (PM) and I'll give you my e-mail address.

If you have a pump with a coiled leak-off pipe just below the inspection cover, then that's the level, oil capacity is one-sixth of a pint approximately.

I use paraffin (lamp oil) on freeing up seized or rusted parts, to me its much better then diesel.

Is it a push on type connector if so it goes onto the solenoid shown in photo, if it has a ring type connector it fits on the battery - side of the solenoid (big wires)

I always slackening injector lines that way I know there is fuel to the injectors, they're always start after that, if you don't fuel at the injectors it will never start, has you all know, and has for the books I find it much better working on them and are there for reference only.

Take the gen off, or take off the fan belt, remove leads from the gen, and then with a pair of jump leads Negative on the big connector (D) on gen, and then just touch the body of the gen with the Positive lead for a few seconds (no longer)

The filter on the pump can be wash if its the wire mesh type, I would say you still have a fuel problem and nothing to do with the filter, blow back on the fuel pipe from the main filter to the tank with a foot pump, had this problem with a Ford 550 today, find very little fuel from the pipe, and a ...

"Typical applications. Side & tail lights, alarms, reversing & rear fog lamps, electric aerial, horns general wiring." but the 17.5 Amps maybe better for the headlights, you can always e-mail or phone them and ask what is best.
