Super Major rear wheel adjustment
The outside measurement of the rear tires on my Super Major is 79". The distance between rails on my trailer is 78". Are the rear wheels able to be adjusted in width? Reversing the wheels does not seem to be an option and they do not slide on an axle like my Farmall. Thanks for the help.

You can adjust the wheel track, you need to change the relative position of the centre and rim, you seem to be on almost max track, assuming you have std wheels (11-36 or the rare 11-38). If you have 14-30 wheels there isn't any adjustment.

Hi,
If you have the adjustable wheels like Sandy says, these are the possible wheel track:
72" 182,9cm
68" 172,7cm
64" 162,6cm
60" 152,4cm
56" 142,2cm
52" 132 cm

I meant to find this diagram but I couldn't remember where I had it. I see you're using attachments Mathias.

Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
Tractor has solid (non-adjustable unlike those in diaggram) steel wheels (orange so I think they're stock wheels) and 16x36 tires.
Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
Sounds like you have odd wheels, could you post a pic please? 16-36 is huge.

Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
I have these style of wheels on my county, but they are also reinforced. JCB did have them too.
You can see they put a spacer between the axle and the wheel. You can try to install the wheel without them.

Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
These are the usual 14-30 wheels (which are not std but a factory option for heavier work), the spacer is a non std extra and might help in setting the correct wheel track.
Keep an eye on those rear axle seals!

Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
Looks like the grease nipple is snapped on the back axle, a good greasing will very often stop the seal leaking
My biggest fear is that when i die my wife will sell my tractors for what i told her they cost
Re: Super Major rear wheel adjustment
I think the nipple is ok, but if it isn't, it looks like it's the knock-in type. Heavy greasing should keep the leak under control as you say John.
