Re: Hydraulic oil circuit
I got the log splitter hydraulics working a treat and Wendy was so impressed how it worked,
she suggested I fetch the whole rig down to the cottage to split the stockpile of logs that we have…
can’t have the FMD running outside though until I get the front crank seal sorted…
Surprising how fixing one problem creates another job

Thats what lifes all about.
Good to hear you've got the splitter going good.
Front oil seal is normally a piece of cake.

Your crank seals easy compared to this. Just watch for a wear groove in the pulley boss you might need to put a speedy sleeve on if theres ware in it

Yep a crank seal is easy, I’ve done many in my time but…
..The trouble I have working on Jack is he’s been used for boat launching in salt water so everything is rusted solid when it comes to any sort of job…
…if it’s not rusted solid then its just about rusted away

Re: Hydraulic oil circuit
I managed to get the fitting sorted for my hydraulic return circuit without a problem

I might put a 90 degree elbow in th fitting at a later date and a short flexible hose just to remove the ridgidity and alow the female coupling to han down when out of use.
