The interesting thing is that the Dutch Marines have had a unit serving with the British Army for 300 years according to their C/O who was interviewed recently.

I think some of these wikipaedia contributors need to buy a Fordson Brian, they have far too much time on their hands !
The usual 'longest' war is the one with Russia vs Berwick upon Tweed as they were not included on the armistice document - this one is arguing that The Scillies couldn't be at war, or peace as they are part of the UK
Thank goodness 'our' wiki is the result of people who know what they are taking about
Looked in on a nice little collection of Majors this afternoon (plus a Nuffy & Leyland, to find that 5 were out of their sheds and being used, one had done a Hainford Tuttington round trip! didn't find a spare back wheel but had a nice chat in the warm spring sun
