i have been to visit a friend who is rebuilding a major.
can someone date it for me please
i found 2 casting codes both a8v
engine number on bulk head starts 12700---
engine has no number, has traces of yellow paint, throttle through block and wide fan belt.

A4A would be January 1954. 127000 would be October, November 1953.

A8V is January 8th 1954 as Henk said, think he had a little fat finger moment.
