Its where the handbrake fits. Looks like someone has removed yours possibly because it seized up.

What is the sandwich box mounted behind your gearbox.
Is it 4WD or a reduction box.

Hi Frans,
Welcome!
You have 2 very nice tractors!!
Is the cab on the 4WD original? Perhaps from a company, that modified Fordson's/Ford's in these days like "Bakker Ulrum"?
Best regards,
Pascal
Fordson's don't leak oil, they are just marking their territory.

Hello Pascal
the cab was self made by the previus owner 35 years ago and I took it off (going to China)
Its fitted with a 6 cylinder 590 FL
the firm Bakker ulrum is unknown by me

Hello Frans,
Welcome on board. Nice to have someone from Holland again.
Very nice couple.
I assume the nose is modified for the six cylinder instead of the hood. Never saw that before.
Kind regards, Henk
