Tacho Drive Cable

When I took on the 64 S. Dexta the drive cable was not attached at the injector pump end, after some fiddling I got it sorted but now it's given up the ghost again. The tacho end is mangled anyway and it was a bit touch and go.

Anyway, I think it's actually too short as it was a bit of a stretch even after I took the tacho cowl away and sat it straight in the dash to get it a bit closer to the pump.

I made enquiries today with Agriline as I thought I had seen two different lengths listed elsewhere depending on age. Agriline tell me that only one length is available and it's 35 inches.

I took mine off today and it's 84cm (33 inches). Although that tells me that mine is probably too short somehow, I don't think 2 inches will make up the depth of the cowl if I reinstated it.

Could anyone shed some light on this little mystery please?

Parts manual tells me there's three!!!

One for pre 62
One for post 62
One for petrol

No mention of length though...
