Re: Dexta Oil Data.
I have been advised that S.A.E 20W = ISO 46 and S.A.E 30W = ISO 68. Any advice which, if either, would be most suitable?Brian wrote:Gearbox and Rear Axle Oil Specifications. All Models.

I received a very nice email from J. Mellema, who sent me this spec sheet:
Dexta oil specs.
The document is not directly from Ford, but refers to Dagenham. There's also some other info about the Dexta on it.

Oscar

Re: Dexta Oil Data.
The multigrade 20/30W oil was used in both engine and transmission. It was originally called Multiuse and was what we sold for all tractors in the Ford range up until the introduction of the Series 3 oils in 1965.
This oil was used in both engine and transmissions, approved by Ford Motor Company, to allow the farmer to have just one drum of oil for all his applications.

I knew that would ruffle you feathers, it ain't so, it don't show that in the lubrication chart you are wrong for once in your life and ain't man enough to accept it BRIAN
