Looking for Vacuum Governor Housing - 62 FSM

Post by Tractorbob3 »

In the process of sorting out some fuel pump and governor problems on my 62 FSM and have found that the governor housing is cracked through by one of the securing bolts. If anyone has a spare, please let me know how much you would want for it. Pump is marked Simms SPE4A75S 647. Alternatively, if anyone knows of a supplier who sells them, contact details would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Did you find one yet? The same governor housing should have been used from about March of '57 until the Minimec pump came out. I wouldn't think that a used one would be too hard to find.

Thanks, both. I've been watching the ebay pumps, but someone local has promised to look in his shed over the weekend and I'm hoping he'll have one.

Success! Good friend has provided one from an old Major he keeps for bits. Think I might give it a bit of a polish before it goes on the old girl, just to set the rivet-counters a-muttering
