Just wondering if anyone is taking the trip to Malvern this weekend for the Tractor World show at the three counties show ground. I think my dad and I are going on Saturday to have a butchers at the auction. The catalog is available here:

Re: Tractor World Show 2011
Has anyone got further details of the Show itself? The website seems rather sparse.
Thanks

Re: Tractor World Show 2011
I'm going there on Sunday - would have preferred the Saturday because of the auction, but just can't do it. There's been some detail in Tractor & Machinery Magazine and Ford & Fordson Tractors. It's a great show and if you need to rest your legs, go to the Ford and Fordson Association (FFA) stand, where you can get tea and a seat if you're a member. And if you're not a member, why not join up!?

Re: Tractor World Show 2011
Roadless(?) with Manuel front axle Super Major sold for £9400.

The orange wheel Super Dexta next door in tidy off-farm condition went for £1400, which seems a bargain, as was the 2-furrow Ransome Robin (no depth wheel) with YL165 boards which went for £200.
Good collection of Fordsons on the FFA stand inc a Super D with 4WD conversion, with fabricated transfer box, by All Grip Traction http://www.fordson-dexta.de/50125593f71 ... index.html Anyone any experience of these?
And tombola for PETROL Dexta (Yes Brian

Re: Tractor World Show 2011
Even better !
Had the day off from decorating and went on Saturday.
Then I got in trouble at home
Looking around the auction, I saw a McConnel Swingover Hedger.
Complete wreck, with terminal damage to the main body, BUT, the parts that were damaged on mine were in perfect order.
AND, the knifes are in good condition as well.
Yes, I got it
Next couple of hours were blind panic, trying to find some way of getting my unexpected purchase home from Malvern.
Kath's not too impressed at the moment, having a big piece of junk by the stables, but transplant will start in the next few weeks.

Glad you found a spare parts machine for your broken one, AND you'll be able to use your DAR valve finally.Mike Kuscher wrote:Even better !

Re: Tractor World Show 2011
The petrol Dexta was won by someone from Ireland - that'll be a long drive home! Bit of a bugger if one of the Australian members had won it - that'd be an even longer drive. Not a bad prize, especially as it didn't involve buying a ticket - if you were a fully paid up Ford and Fordson Association member, your name went into the draw.

The row crop dexta isnt an original the information said it was converted by its owner after buying it for restoration.john.n wrote:Saw some very interesting conversions when i was there. row crop majors are rare, what about dextas?

I quite liked the Fordson N based grader next to the halftrack:

A couple of pics of a rear facing Super Major forklift conversion

Some might laugh
