Greetings, thought I'd give the board members a chance to gain some shelf space.
Looking to rebuild my SMD block. I need a complete head with pushrods, rockers, cover, injectors and head bolts. SMD connecting rods. A sump with oil pick up and cover. Thats the big pieces I need to get the overhaul started. I'm located in SW Wisconsin. Thanks.JB.

Which Super Major do you have? One with a vacuum governed pump or a Minimec? Year and casting codes would be helpful as they used a different cylinder head on the last of the old style Supers/New Performance ones. The later head will have "FL" cast into it between Number 1 and 2 injectors.

Try Wisconsin Tractor parts, AKA All States Ag, they have several yards. There is also a compleat tractor up for auction next weekend just up the lake on the other side of Fondulac. check the auction listings on the Wisconsin State Farmer web site, its listed as a non running Fergason Super Major D, it may go cheap, but you can bet myself and the guys from Wisconsin Tractor will be there as well. If you still come up empty handed get back to us, we should be able to come up with somthing.

Thanks for the responses. I have I believe a 62 super major,I think it should have the FL head. Tractor engine was mostly disassembled and head/sump/rods missing. Minimec pomp. Engine block stamped 08B762992. S/N plate missing from tractor. I've recently begun chasing leads for supers, after finding this block good. Was told when I bought it from a dealer that the block was cracked, so I was working on re-engineing (post somewhere below). Thanks again!JB.

Pat- No I didn't make it, hadta work. Tried following online but that auction service didn't seem to allow it. I'm still looking, I have calls in to so many places I have a big notebook to try to keep track. I even missed the County Super 6 for sale in KY, maybe by minutes. I would have jumped on that given the chance and had you come get my SMD. LOL Thanks again. JB.
