PTO engagement gearbox

Post by Kiwi Kev »

I was removing my PTO engagement gearbox today to do the seals in it, when I noticed that it was slightly different to my other one.
Yellow one is 1957, Red one is 1954.

The red one has the removable plate on the underside of it. Doe's this mean anything, or matter

Its the difference between the early housing and the later one, either/or will fit but I would keep the square one with the '54 if possible as it is the original. The only change in the housings came with the Super Majors.
