Hi
I've been reading other posts for advice and just want to check.
My SM won't crank over quick enough, I've checked the earth, and all other leads/connections, it has new battery, dynamo, solenoid. The starter has been to a local repair agent and he said he couldn't find much wrong with it, but looking at other posts, it's all leading to the starter-am I correct in thinking this? Also can anyone recommend any good suppliers of good starters?
This time last year I was hunting for a starter for my IH SWD6, that proved expensive!
Many thanks
Kev

Re: SM starting
You may need new battery cables. After a time, especially if the cables have heated up from a low battery in the past, the copper losses it's ability to carry the current and can end up with spots that are resistant, or shorted. Also, be sure the cables are large enough. Dandy Dave!

Took the starter back to the local auto electrics guy, drawing too many amps, so he stripping it down and I got his spare off the shelf which spins her over well!
