Hi Mathias,

Maybe these guys can help you,

http://www.allischalmers.com/

Or place an ad in "Traktor-Magasin för jordnära entusiaster.

Is that picture taken in Smaland?
( can't find the "a" with the "o" on top)

Nice crawler by the way...

Greetings from the Netherlands.

PS Could you go and say HI to my brother in Hult? Eksjö Kommun.

Edit: Just went through my archive and found in an old issue of
"Old Tractor" that the Model U and M were fitted with the UM-engine.
This engine has a 4-3/8 in. bore and a 5 in. stroke.
28 drawbar horsepower and very reliable,it says here.

You could also backorder "Old Tractor" issue March 2004.
That contains a special on the AC model M crawler.

Ah Värmland, the landscape looked somewhat like the drive from Nässjö to Jönköping to me...

Anyway,i just thought i'd react to the question in your lineup of tractors.
Bray was a company that took Fordson and later Ford skid-units (and maybe other brands too)and built their own machines on it.
Like halftracks, dozers and imho the most impressive one;the Centaur.
That is a tractor with four equal wheels with the Ford 590E engine.
It could carry a 5-furrow plough up front and on the rear, and the idea was that you did not have to turn on the headland, you just put it in reverse and continued ploughing the other way.

You are not going to tell us you own such a beast huh?

Yes,i remember that topic!

Ok another dive in the archive yields the following info;

The part up front is simply called a Bray Loader.
Not that it's simple, but other types had names like Hydraloader or Dualoader.
The tractor itself resembles a Bray BL 430,although these were 4WD.And only 2 were built.
The cabin i can't find in the book.
The same goes for the implement on the back.
I read though that Bray mounted Sherman implements too.
So all in all i would say you bought yourself a pretty special machine.
Now the info i found comes from the book "Ford Tractor Conversions" by Stuart Gibbard.
There's a whole chapter on Bray and Matbro, who joined forces later on.
Today their stuff is sold as Terex.

And it wasn't a long drive from Ulricehamn to Sandhult.

Are the other diggers also only 4000 Kr?

The landscape on that photo is georgeous (the crawler too). Too bad it's dark there 6 months of the year so you can't see it... :) .

Hi Mathias,check out this video.
After about 1 minute there's a tractor that looks like yours.
Search for "ferrari tractor story and cat" on youtube.
Love the music too...
