'55 FMD :Put new temp gauge in,then new thermostat(both missing when I got tractor)then new radiator cap. With new cap obvious leak out radiator.
Do I just need a new radiator or is there an underlying issue? I'm guessing previous owner took out thermostat due to overheating but not sure.
Thanks,Lee

Re: New radiator cap=water blowing out radiator
Is it leaking out of the tube next to the cap?
If you fill up to the highest level and the tractor is warming up, it will through up some water until a certain level.

Hi Henk,
No it is coming out of lower part of radiator, although when I first put thermostat in it was overflowing out tube. With new radiator cap it is forcefully coming out radiator but not overflow tube.

hiya leeroy, see your radiator specialist and see what a recore costs, alot better to have a good radiater than cook an ok engine. Mark
