Re: NP Super major rear end oil???
I made the mistake of putting Morris AG 90 oil in my NP Super, as I had done in my Diesel Major. The hydraulics are more intricate on the Super, meaning that thinner oil is required to ease passage through the galleries.
Having said that, she works perfectly well. The lift arms are a bit slow to lower on a cold day with no weight on them, but when there's an implement attached, I don't notice any slowness. Back in September when I was ploughing all day the AG90 oil was as thin as hydraulic oil when it was hot.
Next time I change the oil I will use the thinner type but I can't afford just to throw away the not cheap oil I've used by mistake.
Best wishes
Adrian
