Well Ben, I got the seat from Agriline. It's very comfertable.
Re: Super Major Engine rebuild
It's certainly been a frustrating learning curve for you Steve. But as my mentor used to say "fixing a problem takes only 10% of your time -- finding what is wrong in the first place takes the other 90"
I'm curious as to what you will do with your Fordson when it's a goer. Are you going to get that lovely paintwork wet, muddy and scratched; or retire it for show days only? 'Course, some people get the restoration bug and flog their 'resurrection', buy another derelict and start all over again.

Those are very true words Pavel, well hopefully this summer she will be cutting, turning and carting 10 acres of hay. And then doing any other little jobs around my father in laws farm. Some ploughing matches and rallies.

Say Mates, We could turn re-building these old Fordsons into a reality TV Show. Drama, Drama, Drama. We need some one to play a mad farmer that needs his tractor badly who is always in the shop trying to half tell us what we already know.chriss wrote:blimey this is better than the tv, hope it starts soon then we wont have to see that workshop anymore i turn another shade of green each time i see it

Re: Super Major Engine rebuild
I can just see a Benny Hill workshop scene with a buxom blond being closely shown where the giggling pin on the laughing shaft is and how it's attached with glass rivets. And after a couple of episodes all future scenes would be shot in the local pub.
Can't say I envy you your pristine workshop, Steve; had enough of that at the old NIAE where you spent the last hour of the day putting everything away and sweeping up. My 'workshop is a 4 bay leanto with dirt floors. Even so the jobs gets done. But I do envy you being able to mouldboard plough -- it's one of the few things I miss being able to do here in Oz.

Hi Steve
Let's hope they do a good job. If the timing is right, and we know it is, and the pump and injectors are working correctly, your 400psi per cylinder will do the rest!

By the way, excellent oil pressure. By way of comparison, mine ticks over cold at 46psi, and at 42psi after a couple of hours of hard work.
Next stage is running in as Pavel very clearly laid out earlier in this thread. Then find her some work to bed in the rings.

Glad the hear you have jumped the hurdle and won the race.
. Try taking your leveling box apart. You may beable to repair it. It is worth a go at least, and then you will have an original.
Dandy Dave!
