To the left of the injector pump in the photo is that some sort of overflow pipe and should oil be coming out of it when I have been driving it. It seems like there is quite a lot down the side of the engine every time I use it.
Also there seems to be oil leaking from the hand brake. I presume there is a seal of some sort in there. Would this be a reasonably easy fix?
Hi, that is your engines breather. Have you given the tractor any hard work lately like ploughing? Could be sticky rings, or alternatively it could be worn rings/liners.
Oh yay, look, another seized bolt! Lets get a hammer.....and some kano.....and some cider!
It hasn't had any hard work as in farm type work. It is only used for transport (a big boys toy), just on the road for about half an hour drive each time (normally full throttle in 6th gear most of the way). I am no expert so would this count as hard work?
Put a load on it. These old Fordson like to work, and work hard. If the rings are, decent it will clear up. You need a topper, plow, or similar implement to put it through its paces. Dandy Dave!
