On 2nd thoughts, you may be correct - there isn't one!
There is for the 1000 series, and a MF35 spin-on filter head will fit a Dexta, but there seems to be an opportunity for some one to produce one for the Major.
I have not seen one for a Major as they are a different animal. I do know that you could get an adapter for seveal years ago for the Ford 9N,2N,8N, NAA and the early number series. It was the same adapter that was used on 1950's Ford cars and trucks and used the same spin on filter. Dandy Dave!
Hi
With the tractor engines you have to make sure there is clearance between the filter and frame rails. I have the newer industrial 4 cyl with this type filter on .
To get it to fit inside the frame rail I had to cut half moons out the top and bottom of the rail . My filter is not that bigger diameter either maybe 4.5" or so . the original slim major filter is pretty tight to the side. A spin on is probably an inch + bigger diameter
With a boat basically as long as the motor mounts are not in the way ,and it don't hit the sides of the hull you have no problem with clearance .
Just thought Id let you guys know the problem before you all get to excited, and rush off for a kit and find this out .
