Hand brake linkages page 12 of Dexta parts list
Looking at part number 33 on page 12, which is the "Bracket and Support Assy.", there are two biggish washes welded onto the plate, can someone please tell what their purpose is? I have two of those brackets, one is a bit rough with the washes in question and the other that I would like to use has no washes
. I suppose one could machine two of them and weld them on
On one of the brackets I noticed it had bushes in the big washes, which are not shown on the drawing, not to get confused with those numbered 34 which are the same as those numbered 2.
Any help would be appreciated, Mervyn

The front page has a picture of the Super Dexta with text reading as such: FORD Fordson Dexta and Super Dexta 1957/64. Printed in the USA Troy Michigan 48084.
I'm sure I copied this off the forum some years ago, might have been the old forum. I am bloody useless when it comes to attaching pics

The diagram in the link which Ben posted is the same as shown in the spares book which I have. The washers which Mervyn refers to are spacers, possibly to provide a clearance between the cross shaft and the axle casing.
If the spacers are missing you could fit a number of flat washers to give you the necessary clearance.

Thanks Gerald I did not think of using washes. You are right those are spacers and not washes as I referred to them in my first post, welded to the plate. I can't recall removing that plate to be honest with you, it definately was a while ago.
