thats a nice press there :) i went and bought a 20ton press and been pressing that collar but still cant get the bugger to move :x i had 10 tonnes of pressure of it and the bearing blew up and went everywhere!

So i could get the plates underneath proberly to press it, but ive put around 8-10 tons on that collar and she still wont budge! ??

any suggestions would be great :)

You could try applying some serious heat (eg oxy/propane) quickly to the collar and then try pressing again. If that doesn't work, you may have to cut the collar off and have a new one made. The original was probably heated and shrink-fitted onto the shaft. You'd have to do the same with the replacement.

Best
