Still trying to determine serial number on my super dexta;can't make out the prefix last numbers are ???3655. The hydraulic lift casting code is L6H, the left rear axle code is L11H and right rear axle code is K23H. Guess I'll keep scraping to see if I can deetermine the prefix in the serial number. This tractor has grey wheels, fenders and hood&cowling with some blue showing thru on the hood.
Any help in determining age and color would be appreciated.
Thanks from Saskatchewan Canada.

It looks like your casting codes are for year H, ie 1962.
I believe there are casting codes on the right sides of the clutch and gearbox housings - you could check those as well.
Perhaps you will find 09B or 09C at the top of your serial number.
All the best,
Ben
Wecome Greg,
Your prefix should be 09B and the numbers are possibly (72)3655. This would put her in late September 1962 and the casting codes seem to back this.
This would make her an early Super Dexta, they were introduced in April that year. So her colours, in Europe, would have been the Empire Blue and Orange as per the one in the picture I sent you.

Did some more scraping and snooping today found clutch code and gearbox code they are L11H and L4H respectively which supports the 1962 H year. The stamped number on the engine just under the exhaust manifold is 1609546. Scraped away at the serial number found one more number and if I had to guess the prefix is 9B but it is very difficult the make out. The number looks like ?9B?23655. I did some scratching on the rear wheel rims and found some orange paint under the grey. Were any of the early export models given a different paint job over the European version?
Having fun at this tractor investigating I can see how it could become an addictive hobby.
thanks

Welcome from next door.
I think Brian is bang on with your serial number. (09B723655)
We have an August Super Dexta with 09B719212 for a serial nuimber and 1605839 on the engine. It came painted blue with orange rims and silver grills.
There should be another date code on back, bottom left (oops! that's right side) side of the differential.
Saw a petrol Dexta from March/63 with the grey rims and fenders which I believe is a bit earlier than these colours were available in GB.
Where is Sask. are you located? We're about an hour NW of Red Deer, AB.
Cheers,
Les

I'm in southwest Sask about 40 miles northwest of Swift Current Saskatchewan, Canada. Sorry for no pictures yet; the tractor is in a quonset about 10 miles from home hopefully it warms up some and I can get it home into my shop try and get some pictures then.
For now I'll keep reading this very informative and interesting fordson website. Were there any triangular shaped decals on these tractors near the fuel tank there are similar shapes on both sides of this tractor's hood but no sign of a decal?
Cheers, Trigger
