Injector copper washers

Post by relick »

Can anyone tell me if the power major should have a copper washer on the base of the injector and another one of slightly larger diameter in the base of the injector hole? Meaning the 2 washers are face to face.

I had water in the motor and after pulling the injectors to clear it and then re assembling i found this larger washer on the ground. I figured i had missed one one an injector when assembling but after pulling them all out again all washers were present.........

Majors should have one copper washer at the bottom only. Sometimes I have come across injectors that have two washers on because someone did not take an old one out when changing injectors. Too many washers can affect the running of the engine by altering where the injector spray goes in the combustion chamber.
