It has already been done!

There is a Fordson Major with a Merlin fitted somewhere in Holland. It was on display at the Rai Show some years ago.

Mercedes do not seem to have changed the colour of their engines since 1909, the ones I worked on in the combines were all the same colour. (Some of them took the same time to start too).
