Hi everyone
Thanks for accepting my application to join.
I have a Fordson Major 1956 that I use to beach launch my boat at Windy Harbour, Western Australia.
I would like to get to know my tractor a little better over time and I think this is a great place to start.
First of question is;
Is the Low to High range gear selector the lever directly behind the clutch pedal? Its a vertical heavy lever that simply pulls back or pushes forward.
I have tried to operate the tractor in all gears changing this lever forward or back - although there has been no distinct change out of what I call low range.
I am starting to think that there is a problem with the high range OR this is NOT the correct lever to change between the two ranges in the gearbox.
I look forward to your replies
Cheers
Chris

Re: Low to high Range
Hi Chris
Welcome to the board.
The lever you are talking about is to engage the Pto and hydraulics of your tractor. There must be a lever sticking out the lower dashboard for the hi and lo range
