Teflon tape or. No tape?

Teflon tape or. No tape?

I got a new radiator for my Fordson Major Diesel should I use Teflon tape on the radiator pettcock?
1939 Ford 9N, 1952 8N, 1955 FMD, IH 340U, Ford 3600, Ford 2120, Valmet 646 Forwarder.

I have, the place to be extra careful and avoid any strands 'escaping' is on fuel lines, no need to ask how I know :cry:

As new they were fitted with a gasket,but tape will do the job.
