Now I have started her and she runs wery nice. It was a little difficult with the first start because the button for cold start was impossible to push in.
We have a few below zero so the button had been nice to have in order. The oil pressure is 3 bar. It is the second start that is on the video and not the first cold start.

Hi Grani,
The sound of that engine...especially when you opened the throttle...WOW!! What a GREAT sound!!
If you have any other flick with that sound: don't hestitate to post them.
Can't wait to do the same with my engine.

I shall enjoy the sound of it.JC wrote:I enjoyed the video, Grani. I even watched twice. I hope to hear that sound myself, some day soon. What are you going to do with it, now that it runs?

Hi Grani,
For some reason if had missed your 2nd flick.
But I saw it today. Great flick!!!
You were really showing off with alle your engines.
And you are right!!
How went the placing of the engine in the boat? Was it harder than you thought? Or did it went well?

The top is still off and I will put it on tomorrow. I have filled the engine with oil and also filled the filter and oilcooler and the oilgrid in the block. I have secured the sleeves and put a hose from the oilchannel for the top back to the sump and then turn the crankshaft with the starter to get oilpressure. It is good for the bearings to get oilpressure without the top on so there is no stress before the oil gets to them. The oilpressure is nearly 3 bar at starter speed.

Looks great, Frans!
Are you going to put the air cleaner under the bonnet?
What are you going to use on top of this air cleaner? The original Major "mushroom" (I don't know the original English word
)? Or a bigger one?

Pascal,
The pre air cleaner comes next to the bonnet, the mushroom has the same diameter as the pre air clainer so I will fix that.
Grani,
The front axel is a manuel the transferbox is a roadless,

the next is from a Selene conversion (as they told me)

I think could be a thomas conversion too, the next is roadless
