A Question re. parts.

Post by RH »

Good day, chaps.

The old FSM is still puzzling me a bit, but thinks she needs a rad. cap.

Since I have to order one, Agline products appear the most reasonable, so thought I'd get a head gasget as well, ...Just in case!...and some valve seals (rubber seals)

Here are the questions;
Agline sells two head gasgets; Which is the best?
I know that the copper ones are a bit more expensive, but does this mean they are the ones we should use?

Also, I don't see valve seals listed in their parts. Do they have them?

Linda priced out a head gasget at Ford/NH, and got prices between $130 and $150.00 Canadian!
Makes the Agline prices seem cheap at 15 to 20 pounds.....

Thanks again for your time,

All the best!
Richard.

I would buy a head gasket kit which comes complete with all the gaskets and seals.

Supers had a composite gasket not a copper asbestos one.

Thanks for the advice, Brian.

Ordered the top gasget set, as well as 2 rad-caps (both need one) and a front crank seal. and a rad. hose set.

All the best.

R.
