Does anyone know whether the brake linkages on Dexta with handbrake, about 1961, that run from the brake pedals back towards the rear axle are the same length on both sides. One seems to be about 2 1/2" shorter than the other one! Is this correct, because I can't get it to attach? These pieces were in boxes when I bought it so I have nothing to refer to.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if they are supposed to be the same length, would somebody happen to have one?
Thanks
Jeff

Just measured my brake rods, they are both 87cm clevis pin to clevis pin.
The PTO rod, on LH side, is shorter at 81cm.
I got a brake rod from Ron Greet.
All the best,
Thanks very much for your reply.
I have measured mine, one is 87cm, the other is 80cm! No wonder I was having hassle!
Will get on to Ron Greet in the morning.
Thanks again.
Jeff

Have you checked that your PTO rod is correct? You might have them swapped around!
If you still need one, you could try Malcolm Hipperson too

All the best,
Gerald,
I meant the clutch rod, which on my tractor is about 80cm long (pin to pin). Clutch pedal and PTO lever are on concentric shafts hence my confusion in the darkness. Thanks for pointing this out.
All the best,
