oil leak

Post by super6 »

when i stripped my diesel major hydraulics i took apart the lift lever as it leaked and was very gungy.
having put a new seal on rear of pin that holds lift and lower lever, i still have a good leak from where pin comes out of ally casing on the front side, there is no seal or o ring on this side so how can i stop it leaking.
thanks in advance brett

Hello Super6,

Thats the only O-ring there is to it. Could it be that the hole is worn to much?
Kind regards, Henk

i guess that can be only problem , but not sure quite how to solve the problem, i dont think instant gasket will work as the pin is always moving back and forth.

Hello Super6,

Don't know if you are able to (or let) machine the hole and make a new bush. You can glue that in with loctide.
If not than try to find a used part.
Kind regards, Henk
